Working with Dark Horse Woodworks

Designing a custom piece allows you to choose all of the details... style, materials, color, finish, and size. We will talk about styles you like, go over photos of similar pieces and what you do and do not like about the pieces. We will discuss the intended use, the room the piece will reside in. Perhaps you created a sketch that you of what you are looking for... all of this information goes into the design of each piece I build. Together, we will create a design that will fit your needs and desires for a one of a kind creation.

After we have worked together to determine the design elements, I will provide a proposal stating the price and approximate delivery date. I often have a backlog of projects that can be anywhere from a few weeks to a a few months. Unless otherwise stated, all price quotes include delivery, setup and installation.

Deposit and Change Orders

A deposit of 30% is due when construction on the project is started. The balance is due upon completion, prior to shipping, if not being delivered.

If after the construction process begins, you want to make modifications to the design, I will promptly provide you with any resulting cost changes.

All of our furniture/cabinetry projects include a page on this web site that will allow you to follow along with the construction process. This site will be made available to you once construction begins.

Shipping

Shipping and Handling costs are determined by the weight of the piece and it's destination. Your furniture is packaged and crated by me personally. I use an international shipping company that provides full and personalized service so that you receive your piece undamaged and in a timely manner.


Payment

We are pleased to accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Warranty

I stand behind the products I create. Typically, my pieces are indoor furniture and are intended for normal indoor use. Should my furniture or cabinetry fail at any time during the lifetime of the original owner because of my workmanship or material, I will either repair or replace it at no cost.
