Some of the many wood turnings that I have created are shown on this page. These make great gifts and look wonderful displayed in a home. The bowl titled ‘Durham’, shown to the left, was selected for a juried art show and then by one of the gallery’s sponsors to be on display in their own gallery at the end of the show. Two of these were produced, I sold one and the resides in my personal collection.
The Segmented Bowls/Vases, like the one shown to the left, were created by gluing individual pieces of wood together, creating a visual pattern on the piece. The pattern is not an inlay, each piece that you see is cut and glued together, just like a puzzle, creating a design that you see on the outside of the bowl, but that can also be seen on the interior of the piece as well. All of the vessels you see are hollow, allowing for a variety of uses however they are typically displayed as artwork.
These items are shown as examples of what Dark Horse Woodworks can create. All of the items shown here are either in my personal collection or one of our clients. If you see something that is of interest, please contact us referencing the name of the piece.
